- - I am outside R.E.N.N - - And I've been waiting for the sun R. Bah, it was cold. It was only by luck I had a winter coat, or else I would be worse off. Not that I cared really, my clothes were warm, but then again, the north was a whole 'nother world. I was used to the west, with it's woods and slightly warmer atmosphere. But the more I traveled, the safer I'd be. Chazz was one of those indoorsy type, never strayed far from his own backyard. He believed the best was the west, and wouldn't be swayed otherwise. A one sided arguement I supposed. I pulled out my hands and breathed into them, still walking. The strides I was taking was keeping most of me warm and no matter how far I shoved my hands into my pockets, there was still some bitter air in them. I was truly considering on stopping for a moment's rest, but the surroundings, stone buildings and snow. Snow everywhere. No tables to rest and I doubt any of the shopkeepers would approve of my loitering but hey, I was cold.A. As soon as we had entered the frigid land, my body shifted to fight off the frigidness, to asborb the differences in heat. Scales had all turned darker, in hopes of attracting the white-hot sun, which reflected off the snow in icicles, glittering. I coiled closer, enjoying the feel of fur that had incased her jacket. Renn was moving, and she couldn't adapt to her surroundings, only add layer upon layer in hopes of keeping herself warm. It was pathetic way to live, and I felt some pity for them, but these northern people had been living here since time and no doubt they had evolved to adapt them so. I was looking forward to see how they moved, their culture and such. Renn hummed and I felt the vibrations through my flesh. No distinct sound or movement, she was merely thinking. I opened an eye, similiar in color to Renn's, but saw nothing that interested me, causing me to slumber back into a daze as I once was.
R. I was still looking for a place to stay, or at least a place to loiter. So what if the inn or shop keeper kicked me out. It was going to be colder once the winter seasons kicked in and I doubted the both of us wanted to be caught up in the blizzards that usually commanded this place. Bah, I would travel to the south or east next, another change of scenery then the area I was born. I looked around, feeling Asmodeus shift. I know, there was nothing really interesting to look at. Just snow, snow and look, more snow. What a drag. I snorted, half-closing my eyes. Nothing. Zilch. Nada. But at least I was far away from home.

A Z R A Z E P H When it came right down to it, foreigners where always weird. Everything them seemed to do just emphisided how much they were strangers to the land. Not that anyone was as used to the snow as me though. All I had on where a pair of crappy shorts, a t-shirt and some old sneakers, not to mention my wolf skin which was warmer than any jacket you could come by up here. But that was beside the point. It was their fault that they weren't used to the snow. Why they were never prepared was beyond me, all I knew was that they were interesting, and it was better than sitting around in the snow all day.
I pressed my gloved hand against the rough stone for support as I peeked around the corner of a shop building. My dark eyes following the movement of the stranger, watching as she drove her hands deeper into her pockets for extra warmth. It even looked like something was hiding inside her jacket, which just piqued my curiosity all the more. And although just studying her was interesting enough, I knew I wasn't going to learn anything else by just watching. It was time for step number two. Maybe she even had a little money I could con of her.
My shoe made the soft snow crunch beneath my foot as I took a half-step forward, only to stop. I reached my hand out behind me, uncurling my fingers as I searched out my partner. Sure enough, a large, wet nose pressed against my open palm, then I felt fur. Chise was by my side in a second, silent and watching. I heard him grumble under his breath but he didn't object to helping me, so climbed up on his back and we made a beeline towards the freezing stranger.
Why couldn't Azra just mooch money off of his parents like most kids did instead of dragging me down with him? Although, following him was the best way for me to keep him out of trouble. I just can't seem to say no to him. Crap, looks like he wants to go mooch off this stranger now. Better follow him.
"Heey!" I called out, waving my arm wildly as I neared her. "You look cold." Underneath me, Chise let loose a sigh, and I could just barely hear him grumble under his breath. Well obviously.. In response, I pulled at the hair on his neck. He stopped dead in his tracks and quickly sat down on the ground, which made me fall flat on my butt in the cold snow. Grumbling, I picked myself up and gave him a quick glare before turning my attention back to the stranger. "So who are you foreigner?" I questioned, my blood-red eyes studying her face.

- - With my wide eyes R.E.N.N - - I've seen worlds that don't belong R. I looked around, slowly. There seemed to be little to no people out and the only one that seemed to be interested in me was the little one who was calling out. Just to be sure, I did quick look over my shoulders, just to be sure. And it was too late, for he was already here. You look cold. I arched an eyebrow, frowning slightly. I was cold, I was shivering slightly but it wasn't my fault that I wasn't prepared. It was summer for pete's sake, you'd expect to be a little warmer. Then again, the west was always warm. The weather is different where I come from.
A. Another hum, followed by the movements as her throat moved around my body, a point I always made when we were traveling, to hear the conversations that Renn went through. A reply, not a greeting which meant the conversation had already started. My head, which was already resting on her shoulder rose but only slightly, moving my body forward as I looked around. A small boy it seemed and his lupine companion. I could only tell from their movements, as the wolf sat and the hatchling fell to the floor. Their relationship seemed raw, but then again, they were young. They didn't have the years or experience to commit themselves to a closer companionship. But then there were many adults in this world who were bitter with their soul-halves, but then again, who was I to judge?
R. Blood-red eyes and white hair, an odd companion when it came to these two, but it wasn't odd to see weird eye colors. Yarrow and Syndicate had both bright orange eyes that lit up like fireworks, but red wasn't common in the west. I had better get used to it, if I was to keep on traveling. Renn. And who are you, northerner? I asked, relaxing. Eyes flickered down to Asmodeus' head as he moved only slightly. Ah, studying. He didn't seem very interested, when he moved back into the position he originally was. He didn't introduce himself, which i found fine, it wasn't odd for him not to care. If they asked, I would tell them or Asmodeus would, it was just the way we worked. ut I don't think he will, for the kid was nothing special and his companion wasn't either. - -Making promises that you never keep A.S.M.O.D.E.U.S - -Now you deal with the consquences down on your knees

Azra && Chise Her small frown didn't escape my gaze, but I chose to ignore it. Instead, I focused on the girl as she spoke, her voice sounding strange to my ears. The weather is different where I come from. I wonder how far she's been traveling? I bet she came from far away! But for what? "My parents have traveled all over the planet. My mom is from the south!" I made sure to sound a little excited as I spoke, since well, that was all part of the 'conning' process. Still, I felt a little nervous under her gaze, and I couldn't help looking down, catching Chise's cold gaze in the process. He looked calm and indifferent toward the strangers. At least he was brave.
I turned my gaze back towards the girl at the right time, just as the creature on her shoulder lifted it's scaly head up to peer about. Never had I seen such a creature before. I doubt I could find them here. It was more than interesting. and I was positive that learning about this creature could satisfy more than one boring day. But now was not the time to be focused on the scaly creature wrapped around her neck, no, the girl had just introduced herself as 'Renn'.
"That's an interesting name, Renn." I laughed warmly, my childish voice sounding soft in the silence. "My name is Azrazeph, but call me Azra! And this here," I motioned down at the white wolf at my side as he stepped forward to look the girl in the eye. "Is Chise." I settled my hand atop Chise's head and rffled his fur a bit. He kinda liked it I guess, cause he did nothing to stop me. Together, we stared at the girl and her partner, our bright red eyes shining as one.

- - My mouth is dry with words I cannot verbalize R.U.N.E - - Tell me why we live like this A. It seemed as though Renn was growing colder. Her feet were shifting, causing the rest of her body shift as she let the weight rest on her right and then her left. It was completely disturbing the peace I wanted, although I knew the reason why. The cold was finally starting to leak through her coat and into her skin, and I knew, from experience that she would rather sleep it off than do anything about it. But it was the movement that was keeping her warm. I gave a soft hiss, unstrangling myself from the tight position I had woven around her neck, siddling down her arm, focusing on the shapes in front. Thier movement, raw, a ploy, a plot. Almost.. rehearsed. I flicked my tongue from my mouth, tasting the air. Other than the bitterness of winter, it almost smelled like wet dog, which I could only assume was either the wolf or a previous human with a dog. I turned my head away, no longer interested. Let Renn tell them my name if needed, there was nothing particular interesting, other than their behauviour. But Renn was just as watchful as me, she would see it as well. R. How... interesting. Not really, but he was a kid. That was what he was used for, needless, stupid information. I shrugged, struggling to keep my hands in my pockets, when they really wanted to brush the hair that was falling into my eyes, but the last thing I really wanted to do was look at my fingers. My imagination pictured them blue, but something with more sense pictured them bright red. Either way, I wasn't too eager to find out. I did another look at Azra and Chise. Similiar looks, right down to the white hair and red eyes, hard to tell if they had the same personality though. Small summer shorts and t-shirt. Without the wolf-skin he'd be fit for the beach. I then paused, thinking over what the kid said. His mother was from the south, pretty hot climate from what I heard. It would stand to reason she had to take up a profession as something. So, what's your mom and dad do for a living? I had nothing about a father, but it would be bad if I left him out. Even worse if the kid didn't have one. Well, you win some you lose some. R. I blinked, a pause before I continue. You know a place that's warmer than the outside, ki- Azra? I asked, letting the words fumble. I was too tired to care at this point, my joints ached to sleep. Asmodeus, the lucky cow, didn't have to say anything, he just sat there, coiled around the fabric of my coat. He could sleep whenever he pleased. I glared unpleasently at him as he swayed slightly before collapsing. I could practically see the 'z' float above his head. Knocked out, senseless. Oh, how I envied him. I looked back at Azrazeph and Chise, arms tense. - - And maybe we will do this for the rest of our lives A.S.M.O.D.E.U.S - - Maybe we will live forever
